Third grade is packed with exciting activities! In math, we continue the Everyday Math curriculum with an emphasis on learning multiplication. In science and social studies, students tour various habitats of the world, and become an endangered animal! We shoot to the stars and learn all about the planets. Students learn the role of government and economics and how it influences our everyday life. Simple machines and immigration are also studied.

Students are introduced to cursive. Students meet in writing groups to address their writing goals. In reading, students read fiction and non-fiction texts, and work on summary writing, building vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
