Second Grade is the best place to be! We are busy learning each day from 9:06 in the morning until 3:43 in the afternoon. Guided reading occurs during the literacy block where students are reading text at their instructional level. Individual writing targets are established for each student as well. Every Day Math concepts and objectives spiral throughout the 12 unit curriculum. The Science and Social Studies topics cover anything and everything from forms of energy to dinosaurs. In addition, teachers hold high expectations for students to contribute to a positive learning community.
