Welcome Back- It is funny how those two little words bring a smile to my face.
We have all spent the last few days putting together bulletin boards, making new name tags, and planning opening lessons. As a staff we have also spent some time thinking about the heroes in our lives. We have shared how our heroes are often people in our families or in our circle of friends. We have talked about how our hero’s belief in the people close to them, their tenacity, and how their passions have influenced our lives. This year we are planning on talking about heroes and how they impact the lives we live. I hope you might find time to share the hero in your life with your children.
Safety is always a priority at Twain. As a result, I want to remind students not to show up for school prior to 8:55, that is when supervision will start and we can ensure a safe environment for everyone. When students arrive in the morning they need to line up and wait until the bell rings at 9:01.
If you drop your child off or pick them up please use the “Hug and Go” Zone, which is located in the front of the school. Remember to pull all the way to the south end of the loop or as much as possible before you stop. This is meant to be a quick place to drop off/ pick up your son/daughter. If you would like to spend more time with your child(ren) before school starts, pleases park in the parking lot and walk them onto school grounds. Thanks for making this a smooth transition time for all of us.
I am looking forward to a super(hero) of a year! Please plan on visiting our web site to find out ways to get involved with PTO and Twain’s accountability committee.
